Chief Executive Officer
Shane Torchiana is the Chief Executive Officer of Bird Global. He previously held various roles at the company, including as the Company's President, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice President, Corporate Development & Strategy. Mr. Torchiana was responsible for overseeing the internal operation of Bird’s business, including city growth, policy, data & analytics, Fleet Manager relations, and city operations. Additionally, he oversaw non-technology support functions of the company including People and Legal. Prior to joining Bird in 2018, Mr. Torchiana spent eight years at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) where he led client engagements in strategy, data & analytics, and transformation. Before BCG, he worked in global macro investing at Eaton Vance, a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley Investment Management. He holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a Master of Finance from MIT Sloan.
Stewart Lyons is the President of Bird Global. Mr. Lyons served as the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Bird Canada, previously an affiliate of Bird Global, from July 2019 until January 2023. In connection with that position, Mr. Lyons was responsible for launching a micromobility business in Canada. Prior to Bird Canada, between 2017 and 2019, Mr. Lyons served as Senior Vice President of Emerging Business at SiriusXM Radio, focused on growing its Automatic Labs division, a software and hardware developer in the connected vehicle space. Mr. Lyons has an MBA from the University of Toronto and an LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School.
Chief Financial Officer
Michael Washinushi is the Chief Financial Officer of Bird Global. Mr. Washinushi previously served as the Chief Financial Officer of FreshBooks, a technology company serving small business owners with cloud accounting solutions between 2015 and 2022. Mr. Washinushi was responsible for the financial, planning & analysis, accounting, government relations and legal functions of FreshBooks. Mr. Washinushi has a BA from York University.
Chief Technology Officer
Lance Bradley is the Chief Technology Officer of Bird Global. As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Bradley will oversee all technology, engineering and product functions, including software, firmware, hardware, and vehicle operations, as well as data, security, and information technology. Mr. Bradley has been a key member of the Company’s Engineering team since 2018, serving in various capacities of increasing responsibility. Prior to joining Bird, Mr. Bradley was a senior software engineer at Riot Games, Inc. where he led the data strategy for League of Legends. He previously held technical positions at Scopely, Inc., Geni.com, and Zynga Inc.
General Counsel and Secretary
Lisa Murison is the General Counsel and Secretary of Bird Global. She is responsible for overseeing the company’s legal affairs, including corporate governance, business transactions, labor and employment, litigation, regulatory matters, compliance, and intellectual property. Prior to joining Bird Rides Inc. in 2021, Ms. Murison served as an executive officer of Edmunds.com, Inc. since 2016. As Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Legal & People Officer at Edmunds.com Inc., she led the company’s legal and human resources departments, as well as the facilities, procurement, and corporate development functions. From 2014 to 2017, she was a Shareholder of Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth. Prior to that, she spent the first ten years of her career in the New York and Los Angeles offices of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP. Ms. Murison holds a B.A. and LL.B. from the University of Cape Town and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
